We are delighted that participation in World Animal Day has
continued to grow, with hundreds of events taking
place in at least 81 countries this
year.
Our grateful thanks goes to our wonderful team of 70 Ambassadors
covering 63 countries, who have all worked tremendously hard to raise
awareness and encourage participation. In addition, the increased use of
social networking opportunities has really helped spread the World Animal Day
message far and wide, as well as helping to produce a massive amount of media
coverage from all corners of the globe - Debbie has loaded a good selection
of media
articles onto the website for you to
see.
We are extremely grateful to everyone who got involved this year
and helped to spread the message about the importance of World Animal
Day. Connecting everyone who cares about animals throughout the world at
this special time is a very effective way of increasing awareness of
animal-related issues.
The World Animal Day initiative cannot fail to eventually lead the way
to improved standards of animal welfare throughout the globe - and what an
achievement that will be! World Animal Day is not linked to any one
individual, organisation or campaign, but belongs to
everyone!
